# Jurisdiction

> Department profile and routing config

Your jurisdiction profile determines which submissions route to your department and which codes apply during AI pre-screening.

## Profile fields

| Field                 | Description                      |
| --------------------- | -------------------------------- |
| Name                  | Official jurisdiction name       |
| State                 | State of operation               |
| Geographic Boundaries | Area your department covers      |
| Applicable Codes      | Code editions enforced           |
| Contact Information   | Department phone, email, address |

Changes take effect immediately. New code editions apply to future submissions only.
