# Onboarding

> Set up your building department

Sign up at [gov.bimengine.ai](https://gov.bimengine.ai) with a government email and select the Government role.

## Setup steps

1. **Department profile**: Name, jurisdiction, contact info
2. **Jurisdiction boundaries**: Geographic area your department covers. Submissions route to you automatically.
3. **Code editions**: Select which codes you enforce (IBC 2021, IRC 2021, local amendments). The AI uses these for pre-screening.
4. **Team members**: Invite reviewers. Each can be assigned submissions independently.

After setup you land on the [Dashboard](/gov/dashboard). Submissions appear as architects submit compliance profiles for your jurisdiction.
