The Codes page lets you manage the building code editions that your jurisdiction enforces. These codes are used by the AI compliance engine when pre-screening submissions.

Code Editions

Each code edition represents a specific version of a building code adopted by your jurisdiction. Examples:
  • International Building Code (IBC) 2021
  • International Residential Code (IRC) 2021
  • Local fire code amendments
  • State energy code supplements

Edition Details

Each code edition includes:

Base NameThe standard code name (e.g., “International Building Code”)
EditionThe year or version (e.g., “2021”)
Local TitleYour jurisdiction’s name for the adopted edition, if different
Code TypeClassification of the code (building, fire, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
Source URLLink to the official code text
Code SectionsNumber of indexed sections available for AI reference

How Codes Are Used

When an architect submits a compliance profile, the AI engine checks each item against the code sections relevant to your jurisdiction. The more complete your code edition configuration, the more accurate the AI verdicts will be.
Code editions are configured during onboarding and can be updated at any time from this page.
